nice one for going to all that effort, they've clearly ran them closer than rangers by finishing second the only stat that matters

No trouble at all mert, took abar 30 seconds. Anyway back on topic, I hope the young boy can make the step up from the farmers league to the big time, he’ll have more than a Aberdeen to contend with

Hmmm dunno about that.

Not that I’ve seen loads of Tierney. Just don’t rate Rose especially.

Rose is a quality player Ij. The worry would be that injury he sustained and if he's fully recovered.

I am not saying I'd prefer Rose over Tierney, btw. I would rather have Tierney. But if it comes down to who is currently a better player, I'd say Rose. That would be expected, given there's a seven-year gap.

I’m not a fan I have to say.

been a slow window so far but given it's only the second day back in training no need to panic

if we could finish the week by signing a good young player in a position we have needed for years, as well as already ditching some of the players we have on big wages ( especially rooney ) it would have been a successful window thus far

It might be a bit slower yet.

I hope we'll still get some progress on outgoings - Williams, Bolasie, and Mirallas in particular though I think Schneiderlin will stay unless we can recoup most of what we paid.

I think the busy period for incomings will be the last two weeks of the month and again on deadline day.

It was always going to be thus so as long as the existing players are prepared far better physically and mentally for the first game and the signings we do get can fit into the team, then that's fine with me.

I'm not ever getting over excited about signings for their own sake - we had plenty last summer with each one as bad or worse than the next.

This is a job that is a couple of years in the making, they do seem to want to do things carefully and that's what we need.

On a global platform Celtic are a much bigger club than the RS
True fact wether you accept it or not.

How do you come to that conclusion? Outside of Scotland and Ireland, Celtic are not seen as a particularly big club based on their presence in foreign cities in my experience. I've probably seen about the same amount of Celtic shirts when i've been abroad as i've seen Newcastle or Aston Villa. Obviously if you go to to an Irish Bar they often get a mention but that links back to the Ireland connection which no one would deny.

Ridiculous to claim they come anywhere close to the RS on a global scale. Not even close to being true.

Excellent, nothing like going into the season with a squad that has no idea how anybody plays and needs half a season until they look like an actual team.

Really? Is it like officially registered at the Office of Facts?

I'm in the US and know maybe 20 people who follow "association football". I think almost all of them support either Arsenal, Liverpool or Barcelona. I've never heard any of them mention Celtic in any context. I'd bet most don't know who they are at all, but I can't swear to that.

I don’t know the percentage of Americans who follow football, but it’s grown massively in the last 20yrs and will keep growing. The same in the likes of China and India. And these countries watch the premier league, not Celtic v Kilmarnock.

It’s unfortunate for Celtic where they play, but over the next 20yrs maybe less for some teams, most prem teams will over take them from a global point of view including Everton.
