He's 20 now, the injury didn't help but he's had a season in the Championship and when played for the USA full team, acquitted himself well from what I read. Not saying he should be first choice but I think he should definitely be given a good look at pre-season to see where he is in terms of development now. This could be his breakthrough year.

I know nothing of KT, it's unfortunate that the quality of the Scottish league has plummeted, some of the most successful players and managers over the years came from North of the border but it's so hard to judge these days.

He will surely get an opportunity in one or two pre-season games, up to him to impress from there I guess.

I'd send him somewhere like Sheff United. A step up from Bolton but still a decent club where he'll get a good burn under his belt.

He's still very raw.

Interesting, I suppose it depends on us signing a LB then, I suppose it's no good for the lad going from a full season in the Championship back to the U23s and we have no Europe so it would be sensible to look at a further loan.

Is Tierney ready to go straight in or Baines backup?

Well I prefer to support a team in a good league rather than knowing we may as well be handed the trophy before a ball is kicked, must be so exciting for you up there.

Somebody has had a sense of humour failure. Jog on lad.

Talking about England.

Used to it pal, plus it's where I was born so I don't have much choice, doesn't mean i don't enjoy us being in it. There's only four or five teams that win it on a consistent basis anyway, it is what it is but you've got to be in it to win it as they say.

If he's not good enough to start ahead of Baines we would never be in for him.
