Celtic fan here. Firstly I'd like to say I'm shocked that this could possibly be happening. For me Tierney is hands down the best young left back in Europe. For a 21 year old the ability and maturity he's shown is incredible. He has everything, he's quick, tricky and most importantly a tremendous defender with a cracking final ball. At 20 he had already captained Celtic and Scotland and has snuffed out some of the best players in the world in the Champions League. He's adaptable and can play also right back and central defence. He had 14 assists last season. A lot of people talk about how good Van Dijk was at Celtic but for me he has the potential to be better than him, he's certainly been more impressive in the Champions League than Van Dijk was for us. He can be the best left back in the world if he continues improving at the rate he has been. Hands down a better player than Andy Robertson is, it's not even up for debate here in Scotland. Best talent I've seen at Celtic since Henrik Larsson. Obviously I don't want him to go but if he does I'd rather see him at Everton than Man City or Chelsea. If I had to value him truthfully I'd say he'd be a bargain at £35 million especially if gash like Madison has went for £25 million. I would rather he stayed though even if a bid of £35 million was made. He'd slot in at Man City, Man Utd or Chelsea right now. Would be the signing of the summer if you guys pull it off.

Got a mate who is a Celtic fan, he shares your sentiments. I asked him if he was worth 25m and he said we’d be getting a bargain at 25m. He said he can’t believe united weren’t in for him. Went on to see the lad is Celtic through and through, so it would have to be some offer to turn the lad’s head.

Chances of this happening I would say are about 10%. Can't see him leaving Celtic just at this time. And when he does it will be for champions league football. The lad is an absolute gem of a player.

I don't think it even was 14 million pounds. Remember being raging when he joined Soton, him Wanyama absolute steals for them.

He's a good player, but I just don't see the upside. He's young, but he's not particularly fast, not particularly tricky. So while he's a sound player and would be an upgrade over Baines, not sure he's worth the 30-35M Celtic would ask for him. That being said, I don't think anyone else would pay that, either, so if he ever wants to move, maybe 25M would do it.

Not particularly fast...? He has excellent pace and that is his best weapon. Walcott the only one in our squad who beats him in a sprint.

..I doubt McCarthy would want to go and I doubt Celtic could afford his salary.

The people saying that he deserves a CL club are a bit naive, imo.

It's all well and good performing for Celtic, they win everything in a very poor league, so momentum and confidence is always high.

It's a whole different kettle of fish performing in the Premier League. THAT is where you prove if you're a good player or not.

£25m is more than enough for him. Any more and we'd be getting fleeced.
