Getting Bernard's wages off the books is what we need to happen for something to materialise.

They probably want to pay us £10m for him but Brands has demanded they only agree to a loan where we pay half his wages

Very fast actually when I've seen him in the flesh a couple of times. His age is the issue though for a pacey player.

The wages are horrendous and we best not succumb to the madness of his demands. Anything near 100k is already far far too much. BUT he can play across the front line with PL experience

Pay a large loan fee which doesn't tie us in long term. The onus is then on him to impress and earn a big contract.

I reckon Bournemouth would accept something low at this point.
