signing a young english winger from the championship feels very Moyes 2006-2008

except fpr the fact we never signed a viable winger in all his years until Mirallas

im not counting VDM, as much as I lvoed those first 5 games he played for us

we aren’t getting him so far mate!!

maybe it’s to make us up our bid?

What does that have to do with my statement.

Michael Keane doesn't add any value to a transfer deal. He's available for free in the summer. No Championship side are going to pay for him now, nor take his current salary on.

He is also our back up at centre back. If we let him go, we don't have anyone else to play there for the remainder of the season.

gonna get pedantic here

kilbane was a left midfielder. didnt hug the touchline or have nay of the attributes you asosciate with a winger such as pace or dribbling. he was more liek mcneil in that sense. essentially he was a workhorse with a left foot. he'd be a left back in todays game, in the championship or lower

mcfadden was a striker who got shunted out ot the left wing early on, cos he was left footed

pienaar was always a 10/attacking midfielder, who moyes shifted out to the left. great player but not a winger. was more about link ups and intricate play, came inside a lot. moyes himself said he wasnt a winger on that coaches voice video

Bily again was a CAM/10. shuntd to the left at times and completely ineffective there. his best traits of shooting from range and passing were best suited to a central player

Makes sense in one way for his development to let Armstrong go on loan…but he’s also had minutes for us this season and it’s another body we won’t have available to us.

I know we are probably safe but feels we are gambling a little bit going into the final part of the season with this threadbare squad and no more injuries.
