So nobody is up for a sly Ward-Prowse loan then ?

Not really a Moyes sort of player but handy to have at set pieces . It wouldn’t be the best or worst transfer in my humble view.
Always liked him as a player, neat and tidy, can pick a pass, he’s obviously decent with set pieces etc but I’m not sure he’s a Moyes type of player and would struggle within the current squad we have. It comes down to the old saying though, systems suit players. I just can’t see him fitting in to the way we currently play.

You’re right of course as he really would only be useful as a sub . He can’t play in the middle as Moyes likes physicality there and he can’t get play as a number 10 as his system require a high press .
I don’t think he would even come here knowing how we play . A waste of a fantastic reader of the game though .

Moyes comments the last two opportunities he’s had- pre match and post match against Leicester has been to temper expectations.

Keeps mentioning about being able to spend in the summer and that any players signed now are to get us through this season and probably not for beyond that (imagine being a player signing now and hearing that)

I think there could be two in total and hopefully one is a nice surprise on top of Alcaraz.

Moyes' managerial magic has given us significant breathing space and rendered transfer moves less critical.

We all know that we need players in all positions ( except perhaps centre back ) but that isn't going to happen today.

We know that we are bringing in Alcaraz an attacking midfielder.

Being realistic what other positions do we think are the priority areas and how many do you think we will bring in today?

I've got a feeling that we will spend money or at least an obligation to buy the Rennes left back and possibly a striker on loan.

The day is a lottery, they will get more in if they can. Need a forward in. Get one and it will be ok. Will be glad the window is closed.
