The challenge over the next week is to ship out a few of the deadwood to free up wages. It needs to be quickly so we aren’t scrambling around at the end of the window but it’s a hard task finding someone desperate enough to take some of the dross.

Isn't Duffy similar to Keane but slightly more dominant in the air? Tbh at this stage I would do it too.

I'd say Duffy is better than Keane and has shown under Potter that he can adapt his game

Historically these would have been seen as bargain opportunities as clubs look to off load for at least some kind of fee. It seems that more and more these days players are just seeing their contract out so they can make a big signing on fee and inflate their wages.

Yes I agree and this will get more and more over the years imo. Clubs will start to give 2 and 3 deals. Only giving 5 to maybe youngsters will high potential and superstar signings.

I would expect a number of these to still be available late in the window. As obviously they can all sign pre-contract with clubs abroad now

Several times over the years, before he was at Chelsea, not to be confused with Sarr at Watford and Sarr at Metz we have been linked with all 3 of them

Agree but that’s down to a good manager, not sure that would happen with us at the moment with our zonal shadow marking system he’s introduced.
