The issue is we have used our loans so we literally need people heading out of contract or happy to be released. Personally I’d be all in for Lingard but seems we can’t get him on the deal we want.
Surely sending AEG back to open up a loan for Ali would be a better option too

Barkley would expect a multi year deal. We would end up with another player we can’t shift on big money that divides the fan base. I want a balanced squad of hungry young players and good experienced pros. Barkley is neither
