Hmm, I hadn't read the last few posts but a lot have a similar thought.

United want 3.5m but an extra 12m if he keeps Newcastle up … I reckon you’d get him for 6m .. depending on wages 6m is a good fee imo . I don’t rate him that highly but he would be walking into our first team even when everyone is fit, sad as that is to say

I don't think Diaz, at 50m or whatever was ever really a player would could have attracted mate. Kulasevski is the sort of player we should be able to target. I hope with Lampard in charge, players of that level may want to come and learn from him.
