Yes our recruitment has been horrid under moshiri but Martinez's reign beyond rom, barry and McCarthy was abysmal as well. Even with McCarthy and Barry their quality plummeted significantly after the first season. I think Moyes is committed to west ham but a similar profile and attributes to players he recruited would definitely suit this club

Yes a DM to shield the back four but DMs can also have mobility the best ones do. It's weird with Allan he was brought as a DM but seemingly he won't sit he wants to go hunting and leaves space. Maybe we need to say to Allan just sit there and then set up with Doucouore and one other Gbamin/Onyango?

Gomes can distribute well but he isn't good off the ball
