Re Patterson you are not getting anything close to the finished article at 20. That was the same age Coleman broke through and he could not defend and I believe he went out on loan to Blackpool for a season before being slowly integrated. Although I am not against buying young players I think we will be looking at Coleman and Godfrey as first choice fullbacks for the remainder of the season unfortunately.

Coleman also played right wing/midfield for a while, before he eventually settled on the attacking full back role.

The mad thing is we dont even need to replace Holgate in the squad imo as Branthwaite could do a job as cover on the bench - get £10 million for Holgate and get us a good quality CM in.
