Hasn't been good since Benitez was at Newcastle so i'm sure the manager would be keen.

Ahhh, fair enough, much more manageable. Still wouldn't want him though. We shouldn't be going after 30-something players who are past their best.

Heard that myself, his contract isn't up till June 2023 but supposedly Inter have offered to give him a free transfer to another club.

Likes of sanchez, Coutinho signings we need to stay away from.

Coutinho is a talent on a par with James and Cavani. They are hired gunslingers - that we cannot seemingly afford but by god they are easy on the eye. I don't want mercenaries - but there must be players out there that fit our wage bill but can still make us a competitive team. Get some bodies in asap to replace 80% of the crap we have. I'd have loved to see Coutinho at Goodison.

His wages are high but if you look through the club we are struggling to shift anyone - even those on lower wages like Tosun and Iwobi.

We are just seen as a mugs club basically.

Don't know the numbers but I suspect tosun and iwobi will be on wages far beyond anyone who would take them (lower prem / abroad) could afford.

That's been a massive part of our problem backto thelikes of Besic and Bolasie.

Don’t think so. Loads of articles from when he signed talking about the huge pay cut he was taking. (Helped that he got a £9m payoff from Utd)

It’s ok in the same story it says DCL & Richarlison might be leaving, that will free up a good amount of wages and we will have fees to spend. Some how I can’t see any of it happening atm.

Coutinho and James are regularly injured, Cavani seems to fair a bit better. We need a solid team first before we add of that type of player again.
