Well it's a different role - not one he'd be playing here. If his worst game you've seen is playing a position we don't use then it's not really a relevant example from yourself.

Longstaff was good under Benitez at Newcastle. Most NUFC fans claim Bruce ruined him. Could be a good option on the cheap.

Calamity is a bit strong, but certainly this was the narrative in advance of Scotland’s crucial qualifying games. I’m surprised we are in for him TBH given the digne debate. Hope he goes on to be a quality player, how much is rumoured as a fee?

I'd contend that £20m for St. Maximin would still qualify as overpaying.

Agree. ASM is massively overhyped, his stats are terrible. Total luxury player that we cant afford. 10 goals in 3 seasons.
