This would be a Walcott signing. He wasn’t the worst player in the pitch but there is no way you want him being the senior player in dressing room

Has he got the Michael Keanes? Im yet to decide if he can turn quickly and has the athleticism to keep up with fast players who get past him.

Thats the only concern i have with him.




Im quite interested in seeing what he does with our defence. Hes got to rebuild it and i wonder if he will go for the new wave of top talent or we'll end up with typically poor old players.

….Gomez? Looks a class act, similar to Digne at his best. We have to remember, though, that Benitez doesn’t encourage his full backs to get forward & this is where this boy looks most effective. Good player.

Talking of left backs, when Small left, I think it was paddy Boyland who said there’s a 15yr old kid who Everton thing is even better.

Played in The youth cup last night, he maybe right. He looked ridiculously composed on the ball. Never flustered, can’t remember him just booting it long once. It was a chipped ball down the line to a teammate or a pinged pass into midfield. Hard to judge his defensive qualities and I missed the last 30mins, but he did look a talent.

…even better, folk on here know I’m a big fan of wingers who convert to FB. Some of the greatest started off as attackers but it’s not as regularly tried like it once was.
