I don't think Paul is still involved with FM. Last time I saw them was, ironically, at a Southampton away game years back. Olly had already cashed his chips in, Paul was based in Gothenburg.

A couple of great lads, great Blues, who put up with all of us ********s saying "Wish we'd thought of that" etc. If I remember correctly we lost that game 1-0 to a Marion Pahars goal, and Li Weifang played his one and only game for us. He was gash.

Both of them are with the company at the moment and Paul is active on the SI forums. I think they both had a break for a while; with Paul returning to work on the game engine when it went graphical and Oliver to work on the online version.

Just played the rest of the season on Subbuteo (using original 1961 figures) and we finished second behind Ipswich Town in the First Division.

It's a game lads, a game. Chill out.

And the Scum is "supposed" to be a newspaper - so how can someone who is "supposed" to be a journalist argue that Everton will get 14 points from 16 games (7 home games against moderate opponents and 3 away games eminently winnable given our outstanding record at home against weaker sides (not to mention 6 defeats in a year) and the RS will get 27 points from 14 games given they also have no wins against top half of the table sides and have still to play something like 8 of them. It beggars belief. Not to mention we must be the only team not to have lost to either City or United so far this season.

Trust the Sun to print this sorry excuse for news. It's obvious that this was pulled out of some journalist's arse because his deadline was looming and the dead horse of transfer rumours had disintegrated from the constant whipping. It'd be interesting to see what would happen if they ran the simulation a hundred or a thousand times though and see what the average of what happens would be, I reckon if anyone could be bothered doing that on a powerful computer then putting a bet on for the average to happen you might earn quite a bit of money off it. Then again that wouldn't live down to the Sun's standards so it's not going to happen.
