Drew 1-1 against Aspire Academy (most expensively assembled youth academy in the world) today in South African tournament.

We have a Slovenian goalkeeper on trial with us who played - Adam Jakubech is his name.

Calum Dyson scored for Everton -15 year old who plays for our U18 team.
 
Love how he was at pains to stress that results don't matter at youth level, and pretty much every comment has been saying what good results we've been getting

Didn't that Aspire destroy Man U about 6-1 recently as well?

LOL. In fairness Irvine's point was more about practice and how practice shouldn't just be playing a full game. You need to practice techniques and strategies outside of a game situation. You then attempt to apply those learnings in a competitive game. So results in a competitive fixture still have some validity -- we just don't need to be playing full games in practice.

"Aspire Academy" is just horrible on numerous levels ... I'm sure it's technically great ... it's just like a pure distillation of everything we tend to hate about football being applied to young kids so you can't even hate it that much.
