The idea that the true beneficial ownership of BK's and Earl's shares ultimately belonged to Philip Green is preposterous. For that to be the case would suggest that Everton Football Club, it's directors and auditors and the Premier League have been involved in a massive conspiracy, committing numerous criminal offences in doing so.

The above is even before we get to the idea that Philip Green had such liquidity issues that he would have had to unload Everton shares (which he's never owned anyway).

Green had some involvement in assisting BK with his purchase that's fairly well established, and he's acted as an informal advisor to Bill on numerous occasions. There is zero evidence in the public domain that his involvement went beyond that for the reasons stated above.

Yer but Damo

My radar is twitching though Esk.

Can't help if it is.

It's looking at the timings. Plus the recent Panama Papers disclosures.

Making me twitchy.

Let's not say anything was ILLEGAL in terms if ownership structures.

Panama papers showed how oblique the off shoring area makes things

You do realise what your saying is potentially libellous Damon.

Wouldn't want to see you loose alot of money...

Why is it making you twitchy??? This idea of yours doesn't exist, it's called a coincidence. Not only would Everton fc be culpable to deceive everyone, but it's external auditors.

Behave

Are you not curious about the timings?

Philip Green has put assets in his wife's name to avoid liabilities before. He's also clearly been involved in the club (see Wyness).

This off shore loaning. Appears very curious. Given that it might start coming out if BHS goes where it has the potential too.

Yet we've been sold. To close any link.

If you are any one else is suggesting the ownership of BK and Earl's shares was any different to that reported by the club, it's directors and auditors, then criminal offences (not by the suggestion but by the act) have been committed.

There's no getting round that.

Not if it has been done through - arguably or not - legal means.

That is what the Panama Papers disclosures showed.

What about the fully legal offshore companies in the "pamama papers?"

Honestly, its beyond ridiculous in every way.

youre accusing the board of criminal activity based on a billionaire needing liquidty of less than 5% of his net worth..

Damo, the directors declare in the accounts who the beneficial owners of their shares are. In Earls case this is declared as RI Earls, regardless of the fact that he holds them via on offshore company. This is where the illegality would lie, the Panama papers debate isn't relevant at all.

This has to be the most ridiculous conspiracy thread ever seen. I'm fully expecting to see him linked to Bin Laden and 911 as this continues........
