Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
HE Football League’s first ever penalty kick was awarded at Anfield. And before Evertonians start smirking and muttering ‘down at the Kop End by any chance?’ it was in the days when Everton were in residence.

And it was missed.

A Sunderland striker called Wilson shot wide of the target just two minutes into his team’s visit to Merseyside, but the Wearsiders still went on to win 4-0.

And did you know the first Everton footballer sent off in a League match was Charlie Parry, by the appropriately named Mr Grump!

Those historical nuggets, and many more are included in true Blue Evertonian Billy Smith’s mammoth new website undertaking.

Quite simply, Billy is attempting to compile every single match report of every single Everton match, home, away and abroad, from all-time . . . . ever.

It’s like counting the grains of sand in the Sahara.

But before you shake your head in disbelief, Billy’s already up to 1930-31.

Everton Independent Research Data

Thing is the server is having to be changed due to the large amount of Data...

Fair play to Billy .
I'm working on something from years ago , and if this is true - i.e , works - I'll be saved hours in Central Library .
The undertaking alone is phenomenal .
I suggest we instigate G.O.T. Honorary Degrees . Billy would be recipient #1 .

L.C.A.B. doffs hat to Billy .

Great effort by the guy, but i love the reporting of it...

No, actually i think it's not!! :o

The first red card?

Looking at what they got away with just 20 years back I'd guess it must have been pretty horrific to have been shown a red!

Mine is a personal thing . A homage to me Nanna and Granddad . Everton , circa 1938 - End of Dixie , onset of Tommy Lawton - leads to - OUR SECOND - title pre-World War kicking off - perhaps our finest ever side .
My forebears loved them . A lot . I'm just trying to do them justice .
( I have Copyrighted , btw . )

Is this limited to English & European Competitions? Or does it include friendlies as well?

Either way, loads of credit to the guy. Outstanding contribution by him to all the Evertonian faithful out there.
