That is staggering. Nothing really for the club in the big scheme of things but would ANY other club do it? Class! This for me is the biggest sign we have seen, that we are back where we belong!

I've said it before - it's not about the trophies (for which we yearn and have been grateful in the past) but what Everton do for the Community and for it's former players is just incredible. There's not one sporting institution in the entire world that comes close to matching those two amazing achievements - the latter of which was a world first for football. Yes I know we're not talking life endangering injuries like jockeys but it's looking after your own.. and setting an example. With EitC it's about supporting some of the most deprived and underprivileged people in the European Community.. again we should be immensely proud.
