I can understand that the image can be associated with opinions, phrases etc which the club don't want "E***t*n FC" to be associated with.
However, what disturbs me is the mention of "match action".
THE CLUB CANNOT STOP LEGITIMATE IMAGES FROM MEDIA SOURCES - WITH LINKS TO SOURCES FROM BEING POSTED.
THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO THE IMAGES EITHER AS THEY ARE COPYRIGHT OF THE MEDIA OUTLET / PHOTOGRAPHERS AND AS LONG AS YOU LINK / REFER TO THE SOURCE YOU DO NOT INFRINGE COPYRIGHT. YOU ARE ENCOURAGING READERSHIP OF THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE.
Its only when you don't put the source/link that you do breach copyright.
So as for images - as news stories - they CANNOT stop these being linked. As long as they aren't from EFC.com or the EPL website.
"intellectual property" or "trademarks" yes. News stories. - as long as not reproduced in entity. NO.
If E***t*n's lawyers want to dispute that with me... they are free to do so. Because they're not the only ones who know patent/trademark and copyright law.

Some people don't know what they're talking about lad. And they'd read that message to Danny and assume it meant curtains to us as a forum.
It doesn't. They (E***T*N) can ask for removal of trademarks. Fine. We agree.
But thats it. We can discuss news and criticise - and link news stories - as much as we want.
The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 is there to PROTECT freedom of expression, and then they assume they can ask for removal of things THEY CAN'T ASK FOR. Assuming we're stupid.
Its not there for companies to abuse that right to ask for trademarks to be removed grouping in other things protected by law!
Hence. Know your rights lads.
