Yes, there wasn't a regular first choice player in the team. What can defeat Liverpool is the ridiculous fixture congestion faced by Premier League clubs in December and the New Year. All teams need to spread the heavy load across their whole squad. But the 'big six' are much better equipped to do this than Everton and Leicester.

Why? Gomes has been pish all season, has been half the player he was last year and Bernard isn’t a certain starter for me anyway. If we’re going through or going out, it won’t be because of injuries to those two.
