As others have said, the whole structure at Brighton is based around a collective unit. The squad is a collective, not one star player. Trossard could’ve said to have been our star player; but he actually lost his place in the team to Mitoma prior to transfer.
This extends through the whole organisation. The only constant is Mr. Bloom and his world leading analytics business, which made him astonishingly rich. He is a mathematician and very shrewd businessman - arguably the best owner in the world.
As has been shown with playing staff, coaching staff and backroom staff - losing one employee in the collective pool of talent doesn’t actually change much because the whole strategy is about future planning for this to happen.
Most Albion fans hadn’t heard of the chap, but wish him well with you. I wouldn’t expect sudden influxes of Mitoma’s, Caicedo’s, MacAllister’s, Sanchez’s, Ferguson’s - the whole strategy has to change to get those types of results.
