Everton and VAR

How could Alli be protecting the left hand side of his face with his right hand in that situation, anyone exposing that theory is either an idiot or biased. Hand ball is hand ball no matter what unless you contort the rules to fit an illicit agenda. Silva is refusing to get involved, he is the manager and I have to say politeness is one thing but growing a pair is another. Silva must man up or ship our as our players deserve someone to defend them.
Are the FA going to ask the right the right questions, no because they are as corrupt as the officials running our once great game. We must consider the Clattenburg 2007 derby, his officiating went beyond diabolical for reasons well documented sadly Atkinson is now under that same cloud, it sucks.
I would also like to see Carragher, Spit the pundit, issued with a life ban from Goodison after his statements yesterday, he is beyond a joke. I'd love Sky to employ Duncan to comment on red matches by God the dogs would howl at his opinion which may be biased bit we've had to put up with Spit for far too long

What did carragher say?

So according to the fa the southern teams got first go at complaining about var....
Oh look the southern teams benefit from dodgy decisions....
Fa response, well ask the northern teams now too
Corrupt

game can’t get into any rhythm! It’s pathetic. The good old days of was it wasn’t it added to going the game. Goal stood but was offside, some you get some you don’t. That’s life. There’s nothing enjoyable about VAR. we’re getting more like American Football with timeouts

As frustrating as it could be when things went against you, it was part and parcel of the game and part of the excitement/banter in the pub or at work. Money has completely ruined football, really ruined it. i can see attendances dropping if this continues.

You just know he'll get the Derby

This might sound like pure trival and fantasy, but someone honestly deep down tell me that this would NEVER happen:

At the Derby, Liverpool areawarded 3 penalties....we will have 3 men sent off. 6 clearly incorrect decisions verified by the corrupt ref and VAR.

The 8 men of Everton FC, storm back towin 4-3 after scoring 7 goals (3 ruled out for no clear reason). Ref plays 17 mins of injury time but Everton hold on relentless. Silva gets a red for shouting at the ref for playing 17 mins when the 4th official held up 4.

Result Liverpool 3-4 Everton.

We rejoice and celebrate.

Next morning, VAR and the FA decide to retrospectively award the 3 points to Liverpool after unproved allegations that a Everton fan shined a laser at Allison.

That should have been sent by a senior club official !!!!!
The club having its fight fought by the Fans Forum - give me strength.

No leadership, no backbone, no commitment to defend ourselves ??

Certainly not, let's not soil our hands, leave it to the FF
How do we know they haven’t privately?

They will have done Groucho, respectfully and politely.

We've been wronged and not for the first time... so why not do it publicly (with all due respect to the FA/PL blah, blah, blah) and send some clear messages... See Page 160 in the Andre Gomes thread.

silva gets red for shouting at the ref - not likely.

Look at it this way though.

Are me and you more likely to tell members to use the report function, or to kick off in a thread?

Which outcome is more likely to result in them walking away happy?

Staying calm wins you the argument.

For me, the club (and every other club in the league as well) need to be more vocal in criticising the level of refereeing at the top level.

VAR is a tool and as such it's only going to be as effective as the person(s) wielding that tool.

Take a laptop for example. Laptops can be used to write code and design schematics that takes robots to Mars and the exact same laptop can be used to write erotica based on iconic Disney characters. Same laptop - vastly different outcomes.

Now apply the same logic to VAR.

It used to be that when a referee made a mistake it was often unfortunate and frustrating but understandable (unless totally egregious) because they have split seconds to make decisions and things like angles, obstructions, distractions etc all play their part.

Now we have the benefit of a team of referees and cameras replaying every decision from every angle and feeding that back to the referee on the pitch in real time.

The idea, of course, is to assist the referee in making the most accurate decisions possible and it's actually not a bad idea - a great one in fact.

The problem - and it has become abundantly clear since VAR was introduced - is that the people wielding the tool are entirely unfit to do so and it's making the PL look shambolic.
