Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

And if we use the reported 75mil to improve the squad beyond what it is with Rom in it this year, and we don't have to take a bath next summer on a cut rate deal, then it's still a win for Everton. I could make the argument that if we sign Giroud and say Siggurddson, we've improved beyond what keeping Lukaku would've done.

Only caveat being we've made United stronger. That impact remains to be seen. Rom won't get a long leash there if he struggles out of the gate.

Again, that's missed the point. It doesn't matter how they use the money. It's about Lukaku staying. Everton want him to. He'll cost £100million. All the rest is conjecture.

Looking at Roms stats on whoscored.com for last season. 65% pass success rate lol - no wonder no-one else in our team was scoring if our focal point kept giving it away sloppily. £75m is great business, not quite the daylight robbery of closer to £100m but still a good price. Can't see United fans having a lot of patience with him. Belgian fans hate him - maybe we're actually the most patience fans around lol.

Its either man u trying to lower the morata fee or us trying to increase Chelsea's bid/start a bidding war with man. Maybe

In the current climate, £75 million is not a good deal for Everton - particularly as Man Utd look a bit desperate and Chelsea are in the frame. If it's £75m then I think there must be something going on with Rooney

I don't suppose it matters. if he goes he goes, but when you look what happened with Stones it was drawn out over the season and in this case Everton already have bought players. Why accept the first bid?
