Looking at that video, Jose had one tbing going on that both Martinez and koeman failed to do over 4 years.

Every long ball played to him he always had someone to play it down to. Compared to his previous managers who had Ross hoofing it and having to run into space to collect it from lukaku who some of our fans believed he should have held the defence off by himself in the process

tbf he was still isolated up top on his own alot of the time last season with koeman as well. haven't played to his strengths for 3 years. The frustrating part is Martinez had to know he was best running at people and with space to operate (which requires players up around him creating that space) based on the tactics he used in that Arsenal game. While yes playing Rom out widish on opponents fullbacks wouldn't work every game, it highlighted just how effective Rom was when he was able to run towards goal instead of getting every touch with his back to goal and 2 defenders on him as there's no other players on our team nearby

It's because most are fans of rappers (and similar culture) who popularize that sort of thing (so lots of young people actually think it's cool).

Wouldn't do it myself, but live and let live. They don't hurt anybody with it.
