Lower crowds, fewer live TV income, higher wages. What's not to understand.

Of course if the club charged the same ticket price as the other Merseyside team that came just below us last year ( and will be below us again this year), then I'm sure everyone would be happy......

The owners won,t knock the debt off the enterprise value as it would probably put the value below 100m.

In simple terms its GREED that drives the custodians and stewards of our historic club.

this.
with the debt, the £150 million asking price is nearer £200 million.

Here's the big problem - this is a comment on the Sky Sports story on the website:

That comment has 103 "Likes" compared to 14 "Dislikes", despite the fact it is complete nonsense and fails to address any key issue whatsoever.

Therein lies the problem; the vast majority of Evertonians have not yet seen this charlatan for what he is. Therefore, we will always see the "CLAP CLAP CLAP" brigade inside Goodison every game - all he has to do is keep on smiling, trot out a "Boy's Pen" soundbyte every few months and everything is rosy for Bill.

It will take a bad season for people to turn on him - it might even take relegation, and as good as everything on the pitch is as of this moment, we're still in bad, bad trouble in the long term, and it's because the fraudster (as well as the bunch of t*ts we call a boardroom) we have running the club is looking for the big score rather than looking out for the interests of the club.

agree mate its these happy clappers that are the problem I'll even go the step further and say they are WORSE than kenwright and the board as they are the ones who fuel Ken****e's ego and making himself believe that he is some sort of loved figure at GP. I gave up a while ago I have mates who are happy clappers who see no wrong in Bill despite all the evidence of our financial situation and Ive gotten to the point where I really wish they would just **** off and support Liverpool and stay there.

No they haven't though have they?

They have to operate within the same legal framework that every other business in the country does, they have to file accounts, they have to obey the law.

Some of the **** thrown in their direction & intimation of wrong doing, is totally unfounded bollocks, that is nothing more than mischief making libel.

Some of those 'speculating' should wind their necks in, as they're not doing the lobby for change any favours whatsoever imo.

Two words for that little piece.

If we didnt do any business in January, we would've been scrapping with the bottom.

People trying to persuade this 'clap clap clap' brigade by insulting them and making up figures as facts and then trying to crucify the board, calling them greedy etc, based on these ficticious or unproven information isn't helping.

No-one is trying to persuade anyone. The facts are the facts, and they aren't made up either.

When people don't want to listen, they don't want to listen.

But the clappers clearly have some sort of mental issues going on, retardation, denial, drug use etc. A humane society involves those that can retain and process information assisting the others with their problems.

Frauster. Really.

Don't be like that mate.

It's been said before but some people clap Kenwright because they believe what the media tells them pretty much every time Everton are featured. If people don't know certain fans or go on certain Everton websites they'd never know about half of this stuff.

Don't you get the impression (with his "I don't understand these finance questions") that he must be giving Elstone an easy ride - he might know a bit about theatre but he's happy to be in the limelight at Everton. That in itself is fine by me but please Kenright wake up and smell the coffee. The problem is not that he's asking a high price (that's his perogative) but that, having asked a high price no one is biting. Of course he may have no intention of selling but then you'd expect some sort of whisper to break out about having refused a (decent) offer.

Moving on to very simple facts - given that the gobsh1tes over the park have an international appeal it must be hard to make Everton an appealing proposition - especially when you appear to be asking way too much for a business that has consistently made big losses year on year and the net book value of the business is the wrong side of dreadful. Yes you can ask something of a premium for the future income streams but when these are likely to be eaten up by player wages it's a thorny issue to address. Frankly if I thought there was the prospect of a £10M plus profit per annum for the next five years and the guarantee of Champions League football (improbable) the club is not worth that much is it? £30-40M absolute tops and that's being extremely generous mostly based on the off-book value of the squad rather than anything else..

Safe to say though the Board out at all costs is the minority of the fanbase, not stating an opinion here but I think it's preety evident, in fact many of the vocifourous views you see on websites aren't really representative of the fanbase as a hole.

I know many will rationalise that as ignorance or not knowing "the truth", but there are some preety clever lads and to be honest pretty sensible posts in this thread stating some rationioal opinions on why the out - at all cost agenda can be be a bad thing! Just to clarify they are not saying the club doesn't need change.

To close your mind to either side of the debate and great points being made by each is I think the real ignorance.

The vast majority of Germans thought Hitler was doing a great job.
