Has anyone else noticed a general pattern in the way Everton play? Why is it that we can only play well for 45 minutes, and the other 45 minutes is dreadful. We wither have a good first half and a bad first half, or a bad first half and then come out fighting in the second half. I cannot remember the last game were we were the better team for the whole game. Today for instance, we made a great start to the game, got an early goal, and quite frankly played Arsenal off the park. We made them resort to long balls, which Lescott and Jagielka comfortably dealt with. Half time, one nil up and everything was great. Then we come out in the second half, and everything goes pear shaped. The service to Yakubu was non existant, the confidence was gone and we panicked when Theo Walcott got the ball. I'm not sure what is getting said in the dressing room by Moyes, but if we have any realistic hopes of getting back into Europe this season, we need to learn how to play well over 90 minutes.

I've noticed that.

However, I've also noticed that we've had really only one half of football this entire season where we've bossed every area of the park and took it to the other team. That was the 2nd half against Hull City.

Every other half we've played, we've shown flashes but nothing solid.

Today's first half against Arsenal was encouraging but we need to see more of it.

I think Ive made this thread before and believe it for sure.

I switched off after the second goal. Van Persie Im hoping gets run over after he scored. Wheres the karma? He got Lescott booked, flew in with bad challenges and didnt get a card.

Im really over the Premier League right now. Its boring.

Well the first half was promising but yet again we failed in the second,I cannot see how feliani is worth 15million he,s got no pace looks shaky when he has the ball.Rodwell looked like he was worth 30 million compared to him,He will be world class dare i say the new Beckenbauer, for a 17 year old he has so much confidence in his ability,he makes feliani look [Poor language removed].the defence is missing Yobo,Hibbert played a blinder,Jags played well Lescott can,t understand whats happened there he looks clumsy in everything he touches.Baines is improving with every game.Pienaar was busy, take the arm band off Arteta he is hopless with it on,Osman excellent as usual. The Yak again is coming back to pick up the ball and waiting for support which for me is not working we need to change the formation with 2 up front and not go into a game looking for a draw.Who deserves the arm band ???.................Moyes wants to rebuild give it to Rodwell this will be a wake up call for all the players. The only thing we have left this season is team building:unsure::unsure::unsure:

Van Persie is a nasty piece of work. The foul on Fellaini was at least a booking and we didn't even get a free kick. It's not the first time I've seen challenges from him with malice aforethought. Little [Poor language removed].

I thought we conatined them well in the first half, only for the goal which has to be said was soft. If we hadnt conceaded we would have said it was a decent showing considering we have been shipping two goals a game.

Lets face it we did well with possibly close to 400 mill attacking talent they had on the pitch and brought on as the game went on.

Arsenal is always fun to watch, and for the most part I find the fact that Wenger pays more for dinner than he does on transfer fees but I always root against them when he's in the starting lineup. I hope Benetez buys him someday so I have even more of a reason to hate them.
