Mate, we are not good enough for Europe. It isn't the Holy Grail if we end up playing too many matches with a poor squad.

We need to sort a strong squad in the summer to have a right go at Europe next season. This mob would just perform like a damp squib at any level in Europe and then crash in the league citing tiredness.

We need an absolute strengthening everywhere in the summer, then a consistent league campaign that shows we are capable of turning up for the big occasion.

I have seen both the Bayern and the Bucharest performances. No point in qualifying for a meaningless European tournament if it impairs our league results.
The money alone is huge. Also frankly, we should quite easily compete in the Europa League and would be one of the favourites if we were in the Conference League.

Nothing meaningless about entering a competition you’ve a good chance of winning, especially in my opinion as a near 30 year old man who’s never seen his team win anything.

Feels like a defeat, but objectively a good result. We have the better run in than Bournemouth and Brentford. I’m certain 7-9 points still gets us Europe. We could do with Spurs being safe by the last day.

I'm happy with the overall performance of the season aslong as we put in shifts on the last few games. We have come a long way. And hopefully will have a bit of a kitty to get some quality in through the summer.

We have just equalled the points total earnt by Dyche in 23/24. Not sure we’ve come very far in truth except for avoiding the points deduction. ☹️

That was a little like watching Everton playing our much more expensively assembled twin self.

They should have been out of sight at half time.

How many times have we seen Ev have a million chances in the first half, only to run out of ideas and eventually lose.

Well, it kind of went the other way tonight.

Of course, being Pep Guardiola’s Man City of 2026 vintage, the opposition weren’t quite crap enough to implode completely second half - and we let them off the hook with our own tomfoolery.
