We could be lining up like this:

________Howard
_Neville Jagielka Distin Baines
Coleman Osman Gibson Pienaar
_______Mirallas
_____________Jelavic

Surely we don't need both Neville and Gibson holding in midfield at home to Oldham. We need to keep a high line defensively because they've got no pace, just height and they're not going to be able to score a header from the edge of our box (hopefully).

we don't even need one mate. same as when we play norwich home etc. if gibson isn't fit neville/hitz is not the next best option

Honestly Moyes has to prove himself tonight, anything less than winning 357-0 and we should tell him to pack his bags. Also Jelavic needs to get at least 70 tonight otherwise we should sell him for spare parts.

Seriously though Everton just win, preferably comfortably but right now it's been so long since we last won I don't care if it's from a 99th minute hoof from Jagielka trying to hit Naismith when he's being marked by 5 centre halves who can't tell the difference between what FC and RFC means after a club name that gets a dodgy bounce and loops over their keeper.

Still not a lot of variety amongst the subs. If we're chasing the game the substitutes pick themselves (Naismith, Vellios and Oviedo). Why do we need two centrebacks (Heitinga and Duffy) instead of another attacking player like Barkley or Kennedy?

itv saying its colman right back, kev right mid, ossie behind jeli and neville in the centre!

just as i thought either ossie or kev on the right!

Because our manager is naturally dour and has become stale/apprehensive.

If we're chasing the game against Oldham again we need to give up mate.

Heitinga as awful as he is, can play a few positions.

It was interesting how Swansea said that they played with three interchangeable wingers (Hernandez, Dyer and Routledge) to tear Bradford apart. That's the sort of tactical thinking that we could do with.
