So, now that Europe lets us dream a little until February , we can look forward to the revolution carrying on this Sabbath at St Goodison's for Boys.

Whilst moody European venues, and lets be honest Athens looked [Poor language removed], may provide some welcome escapism its the league that keeps it all ticking over at the end of the day.

Tottenham come to us with their tails up, and with good reason as they've been playing some nice stuff and it would seem that old schemer Harry has found a formula that seems to be working. Genius I say. Not really, it was only a matter of time with the annual spunkfest of money they blow on media friendly targets. What they do bring is some real threat up front, Harry used his international band of scouts to take his former strike due of Defoe and Crouch from Portsmouth and the daft teethed little and large show find the net, in particular the former who's an annoying little tit but a mighty fine finisher. Lennon has looked rejuvenated and along with the absolute bargain Kranjar will provide threat from the sides.

Redknapp's jowls have their own tidal system completely independent of the moon.

As for the Super Azules de Walton, you suspect it may come down to what sort of defence we can put out. Distin limped off to join Yobo on the sidelines and you'd suspect that Hibbert might get a much rougher time on Sunday, especially with the sugar puff teeth Crouch going up for headers against him. Neill can play centre half and Heitinga is suspended so if neither of the usual pair are back it would suggest either Rodwell or Duffy line up alongside Neill. It just keeps getting better.

The massive bonus is that in Steven Pienaar we'll have someone on the pitch that at least can make things happen, its incredible how much better the team looks for his inclusion.

It doesn't get any easier with Chelsea up next so I'm hoping Goodison is at its nastiest best and we give Spurs a game but there's too many variables to even consider what outcome but if we want to avoid a retro 90s Christmas points for survival slam off then we have to take at least something, but it will be really difficult.

Viva la revolucion.

We'll have to see how bad these latest injuries are but with Pienaar, Fellaini and Billy in the midfield we've got a real chance for 3 points. Heitinga at CB if one or other of Yobo/Distin is unavailable which might mean Rodwell back in the centre and Pienaar moved onto the wing. Will be won and lost out wide this one.

We,ll have Neill, Saha and hopefully Rodwell back, but our back line will still be makeshift. Id go with:

howard

coleman
hibbert
neill
baines

pienaar
rodwell
fellaini
cahill
billy

saha

the only worry is if lennon starts on the left, he could expose colemans inexperience and tear us apart

He's broken a bone in his foot. I'd expect us to go like this:

Howard

Hibbert
Neill
Heitinga
Baines

Pienaar
Fellaini
Rodwell
Bilyaletdinov

Cahill

Saha

Still a very capable side, although I worry about how much the Derby and the AEK Athens games have taken out of us.

TOXTETHBLUE MADE A FACTUAL ERROR.

Deepnds what defence we put out. Neill is guranteed to start CB now, but I'd rather not throw Duffy in in a game of this magnetude.

But I also don't want to play Hibbo there. Defoe would do him for pace, and Crouch will just dominate him.

Decisions Moyes.
