I don't think it was a pen, he dragged his back foot and was looking for it. That being said if that happened to any of the big $$$ teams or Suarez its a pen as it was no different than the wrongly called pen against Wigan last week.

I wasn't sure but we've all seen them given. Even so, you could argue that Osman just put his foot in, but that he made no contact.
I don't know what he was trying to do, though. Maloney dived over and the only contact was sock on sock. I'm sure he was looking for it but I don't blame him for that. I wouldn't have complained if it had been given.

Love how we're winning with a depleted squad atm. You'd like to think that with a fresh Felli, Gibson, Mirallas and Coleman we'll start spanking people and stay where we are for the foreseeable future. But then again, I wouldn't be even slightly surprised if we went through the whole season without putting our first XI out once. Injuries have taken the absolute piss at times. Just hope we get a bit of luck at some point. There's every chance we can keep pace and even nip in front of the two London clubs if we get back to full strength.

Who would you drop out of yesterday's team to bring in Felli, Mirallas and Coleman? Remember that Neville is an automatic.
I'm not saying they shouldn't all come in, just wondering.

Yes but it was Lee Mason does he get everything ever correct? the player to me for some reason pushed the ball past Osman then both feet lept of the ground Osman the caught him on the back foot Lee mason prob thought why did he dive into the air before contact? it looked a pen to me but it did puzzle me why did he jump into the air before going past Osman? Check it you see him leap into the air before contact. if he had just ran it would have been given as it was a pen but he put a doubt into Lee masons mind!
It was a pen but thats why I feel he made it too obvious he was looking for a pen at last we had a bit of luck!

Didn't think it was pen and still don't. As far as I'm concerned Maloney was looking for his leg that's why he's going to ground before he touches Osman. There is a difference IMO although was surprised ref didn't give it cos Maloney did it well.

Oh aye, I'm not bemoaning the luck. We need it!

When Wigan scored my heart sank. Thank god for the three points! Onward and upwards and I hope the new year brings Jelavic's form back. He was brutal today.

..2 wins out of 2 without Felli. Gibson imperious will be a big loss if he's out for a while. Thought Ozzie and Pienar were the biz. Definite pen for me, I'd have been sick had it been one of ours brought down but one of those games were we get 3 points and move on. Anything from Chelsea will be a bonus, we'll be a bit thin on the ground and it might be backs to the wall.
