Palace were their own worst enemy. Over-‘game-managing’ and wasting time, along with their antics refusing to move away from a free-kick, got the fans right up for it.

I'm confused why Palace turned up wanting to time waste? If they'd taken the game to us, it could've been over by HT. Strange way to play.

Thought the ref was shocking once again. At one point, Tim shoved their player, a good foul to make, as he was away. Deffo a yellow. Wait...no, play continued and we got a freekick. At one point, the ball went out and the ref and lino literally refused to say which way it went.

I thought exactly the same and that was the spark for me even though we had started the second half much better.

With a day to reflect that's a very satisfying win. We had some terrible numbers re: inability to come from behind under our miserable collection of previous failed managers. Moyes deserves a bit of stick for failing to get it right in the first half, but loads of credit for his halftime interventions.

On an emotional level, the thrill of two late goals and of HD starting to find is "cauldron" identity (tbh I was a little worried about how quiet it was in the first half) - I got to say it was a good day.

Same can understand questions long term over moyes, but at this moment would say is the right manager in place. Just so can put the club in better position, game like today and villa, west ham games shows still in the mix but still problems in the team.

As said before it's an evolutionary thing. The fans are still getting to know their new surroundings, learning to know those around them and identifying the 'noise merchants' and once they 'get' their new environ and identity then things will take off. The booking of Moyes and the way the team galvanised in the second half proved that. It won't be long before BMD/HD becomes the cauldron everyone hopes and expects. People, generally, can be a little inhibited to start chants or be vociferous for an innate fear of ridicule but yesterday - even for the likes of me who watched the match on the box - you could hear the foundations of the old 'Goodison roar' transferring itself across to the Banks of the Royal Blue Mersey.

To be fair to Moyes I thought it was a brave team selection, went for more youth, Barry and Dibling, it's not his fault if they fail to perform to their expectations and to his credit he changed it at half time and it made a big difference.
