Good evening all—hope spirits are high after that one.

I usually lean positive, but I’ll start with a moan: Fulham’s time-wasting was a joke. Goal kicks dragged out, Andersen took about three years to walk off, and the whole thing felt like a masterclass in killing the game. Funny how that all stopped once we went 1-0 up…

On the brighter side, I thought we were excellent to watch today. Some proper front-foot defending, and Garner’s balls into the channels were top drawer—Barry was reading them beautifully and getting hold of everything. Pickford deserves a shout too: great shot-stopping and those two fizzers out to Grealish and Ndiaye were outrageous.

Ground was bouncing, donut dispatched, and for me, KDH was absolutely magnificent. We won the ball back so quickly today and he was right at the heart of it.

I came home late from working at the horse racing here in Melbourne yesterday, and I forgot we had a game on. So when I checked the scores getting up this morning, I was shocked to see we won. I was expecting another disappointing draw at best.

I gave it to Gana, but it could have gone to four or five. I thought Barry looked much more like a striker today and I was absolutely chuffed that the ground gave him that standing ovation. Pickford made two fabulous saves and some of his passes out Pirlo would have been jealous of. The whole team seemed up for it and all in all it made for a hugely entertaining game.

Ref was a bit of a bell though?

That was their fifth away loss on the bounce.

The results against Villa, Palace, Spurs, and Sunderland are better indicators of our progress. I’d say only the Palace game was a real success out of those.
You can do that for every team.

Spurs have the best away record in the league and haven’t lost away yet, so really we shouldn’t use that game either as a barometer.

Sunderland are unbeaten at home so we did well to get a point there, just like the league leaders just managed to get. So we shouldn’t judge off that game either.

Why can’t we just celebrate the win for what it is rather than trying to diminish it somehow. There’s no easy games in the PL. And that was a comfortable win against the team that is comfortably a mid table PL club.

Random one but if anyone gets a chance to check Sunderland's channel on YouTube to their highlights, and watch the Everton game. Isn't that the Everton channel commentator? Sounds so weird hearing him root for another team.
