We haven't played well for 45 minutes all season - let alone 90. Any repetition of Monday means 1 win in 9.
Hence why i said replicate the 1st 30 mins basically throughout the game. Have to have faith, you're a good team, just need to figure out how to do it throughout and not just parts.

Yeah, but my point is there is no evidence that we could replicate that 30 minutes over the full 90.

We are an ordinary side that, like all ordinary sides, needs to take its chances when they come along to win. We missed the chance to make it 2-0 on Monday, just as we missed chances to take the lead at City a few weeks back. We're not good enough to afford such profligacy, especially as our best defender is injured.

We won't perform for 90 minutes against Fulham - but if we take our chances when they come, we might win. Once again, however, there is little evidence this season that we will take our chances when they come. So, by default, this looks a draw. Which is very moderate indeed.

Moyes will need a surprise win over Newcastle or Bournemouth to stay in the job, in my view, if we don't win on Saturday. In his head, he'll already have thrown the visit to Old Trafford. That's a draw at the very best for him - and one he would seek to spin as a win such is his inferiority complex. As you can see from my post, another problem of his is the fact that many of us have seen this show too many times before and, frankly, life's too short for yet another encore. He'll get little perseverance now from many of us.

I'm not the best to give an opinion on Moyes 😂. Let's just say we don't really like the man here at Sunderland. Im not saying you will play well 90 mins but you certainly have the potential to be a higher standard team than you are currently showing.

We do, hence the pressure on the Moyesiah.

We're not asking for miracles this season given the existential mismanagement we suffered over the last 30 years - and last 5 in particular. But I don't think it's entitled to expect not to be in a relegation battle yet again this time around. That said, a win changes pretty much everything because it's such a tight league with the form of many sides swinging week to week. Except yours of course. Long may it continue for you.

Might be a reality check for us against Arsenal Saturday but you never know. I never imagined Everton being in a relegation battle this year so don't think it's unfair for you's to be expecting better than what you're getting right now. As you say, a win would probably change everything, anything else, then what. Only so far patience can stretch before something has to give.

Remember when every fixture between these two clubs went to the home team? First 10 years of PL fixtures between us or something mad.

Anyway gone are those days 0-7

When we beat them 2-0 away in May 2009 it was the first time we won there since August 1966 - it only looks like a really bad stat because we didn't play them there in the league after 1967 for 34 years after they were relegated but still very much one of our past bogey away grounds (but probably my favourite away day to go to).

Its a saturday game so that's a positive.

Stick with Barry
Utilise the bench ( properly )

And just give us all something to be happy about..

( And please miss the press conference )
