Just waiting for the PL to put a stop to it any day now.
If they are going to ban goalkeepers like Pickford from putting notes on their water bottles, why stop there? How about also banning substitutes bringing notes onto the pitch when they are bought on? Any talk of a ban is ridiculous and only seems to be raised when Pickford checks his water bottle before facing a penalty. All the usual media pundits would be praising him if he were to do it for England and save a penalty.

It's psychology, and it's been let out to the media for a reason, it shows potential penalty takers he's been preparing specific for them, any doubt in their minds works to his and our advantage, and the more he saves the more it plays on their minds 'cos this is the penalty stopper specialist. The hype is worth some advantage.
Yup. *Boring, tenuously relevant personal context incoming* - As a former amateur goalie at Mickey Mouse level, 90% of goalkeeping is psychological. The amount of times I would stop multiple shots in what I called a "spell" was matched in my amazement by the amount of times I wouldn't stop a ball after ONE broke the spell. If the goalie believes he will save, he very often does. If the forward ALSO believes the keeper will save, you can nearly guarantee he will save it. The forward needs to miskick one, then, to stand a chance.

Pickford's water bottle will psyche players out in the future - simply by the fact that its existence is being publicised - if it hasn't already.

Love this from extract from Moyes on the BBC....

...Moyes was delighted, telling BBC Sport: "That's what we have been hoping for and waiting for. We want to add that extra quality and that's what we are trying to do. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack both played exceptionally well. We are thrilled we are adding a bit more quality and we need to score some more goals, which we got.

"We played more like Everton after the game at Leeds United. We had to do the Everton things."

The sun shone as Everton fans gathered around the stadium after this landmark win, the ideal start and just the tonic after a desperate performance in defeat at Elland Road.

Moyes felt it was maybe "written in the stars" that he would return for a second spell at Everton to lead them into their new home.

He said: "Someone will be standing here interviewing a manager here in 100 years' time. We'll be well gone, but we started it off today and I hope that the history of the future will be talked about a lot."

This was only a start, only one victory - but it was exactly what Everton and Jack Grealish wanted....

Moyes doesn't just get us - he is us.
