Not completely beyond the realms of possibility if you ask me  🤷‍♂️ I really like how they've looked to be fair them.

Xhaka is easily the best signing a promoted club has made in over a decade. Reminds me of when Leicester signed Cambiasso. Sure Sunderland will have a poor run as the season goes on but they've added good experience to their hungry young squad so it is working.

Has to be a big performance and win in front of the cameras and a night match against a very poor West Ham.

If we dont win this then it looks like being an up and down season.

I think we stop the rot here at home.

2-0 Everton.
Some rare enthusiasm from you, David!

I like it, mate! And yes, Nuno only has 2 days to assess his players, and put together a team with tactics, so I reckon we'll do them on Monday night.

We'd only go up to 8th even with a win i think. Top 6 already pulling away (although that weirdly includes Sunderland currently).

I'm well aware its still very early days like, id just personally much prefer our trajectory to be upwards, always..

We need to beat West Ham & Palace before City and Spurs.

Take 6pts and we should be around the top 6-8 after Spurs. Failure to do so and we'll be down in the 15th zone.

Must win game.

I'm not sure who it is Nuno reminds me of... maybe Ming the Merciless or even Doomlord from my old Eagle comics.

Neither very flattering for a guy that otherwise sits in the curious territory of ' managers from other teams that I didn't mind'.

He's unafraid to sit deep, he likes pace and width on the counter, his teams seem to 'play' for him. I thought the way he dealt with the owners on pitch outburst at Forest was patient/ classy too. Europe with forest an achievement too.

Great time to play West Ham, but I just didn't see us despatching teams yet, with B&B up front. Game time obvs needed

But we may need our midfielders very close to those two, commit shots and players in the box which could suit West Ham when on the break.

We didn't do this enough vs Villa, who were also in a bad patch.

Sorry, in my 24hr pre-match 'Everton' moment...

Players might turn up for their new manager - but a couple of days isn't enough to adopt Nunos style you'd think.

Anyway, it has to be about a response from our notional first team - whoever we play.

West ham are rubbish.

No defence. All over the place.

No midfield. My nan could outpace most of their midfield. And she is dead.

Attack. OAP. The German guy and Wilson.

Bowen is their man. Stop him, stop West ham.

And Moyes will know this.

Comfortable 3-1 win under the lights.

Mentally this game could be huge for West Ham & Nuno by the way if they come to our place and win. Something we should just be a bit weary of if you ask me 🤷‍♂️
I'll be very weary if we lose as I have a 6am flight Tuesday morning and won't be in from the match till around 12.30am.
I'd be a bit wary too, but expect a win.
