We can all say how dire this league is but we are part of it. Think this is like the third or fourth time we've had a chance to break into the top 6 so I'm pretty sure we will still be in contention come the end of the season

Awful first half. Better second.

Positives were a great finish from Barry in what was a tough game for him, but mostly Branthwaite and KDH coming back.

Honestly think that if we had better full backs it would unlock so much going forward particularly as we lack pace. Think we'd start to see Sibling come good if he had someone decent overlapping.

Posted this a few times in the Moyes thread. Its a mixture of we cant play the way we do away as the crowd want the team to attack. Fully understandable.
Saying that the urgency just wasnt there first half. Lack of quality ok. But lack of urgency we can control.

I went with Barry for MotM. But seeing the choices, I was also considering Barry.

I chose Mykelnko because Moyes stuck with him for 90 minutes, even as a wingback so I figured he must have been much better than my lying old eyes told me

Is there an argument to say branthwaite coming on changed how we could play and that getting his better players back makes us better. 45 mins is probably all branthwaite had in him. First and second half chalk n cheese.

Worth a go, but I'd much rather have Illy up front with Barry. Dibling or Patterson can play RWB.

Full backs see a lot of the ball in the final third and ours are lousy.

We set up well with two banks of 4 away from home.

But it’s a decent shout at home. Will get us further up the pitch and Branthwaite and O’Brian are quick enough to give us better recovery when we lose the ball.

Dont worry Keane is back next week. Always shines in a three.
