I seriously dont want more players for Davey to "bed in" ffs...save your pennies for the summer and let a new manager have a go....actually we need two managers...Moyes for the away games and a proper footballing brain for the home games.

Why does Gana take silly long shots

A story.

I was watching a game at Turnmill, the NYC Everton bar, several years ago. I'd have walked over there today from my office for the second half, but we got about a foot of snow last night.

As usual, the crowd was mostly locals, with a good handful of Blues visiting the States from Merseyside and elsewhere.

This was during Gana's first stint. As he often does, he was dithering around about forty yards out, the other side (forget who we were playing) not marking him closely.

So the guy next to me suddenly bellows - unmistakably Scouse, maybe one of you - "SHOOT YOU FOOOOKING KNOB!"

As if on cue, Gueye does.

And hits it a hundred feet over the crossbar.

Everyone looks at the guy, like "thanks pal."
