It felt like the lads held their gameplan in every second of the game, everyone knew whats expected of em.

Im proud in every bone right now, this is our season!!

Going to echo mick and praise Jags.

Gary Neville highlighted some things I didn't notice in his analysis, like him moving to the goal line rather than the ball a few seconds before he cleared it off the line. That is a man who can read games to a ridiculously adept level.

Old Jags back?

Just hope we don't flog Johnny now like.

Don't believe the %possesion stat, it was proved to be garbage as they just count the number of passes and divide it in to a %. No one that I know of besides maybe opta actually pay attention to time of possession.

Steve Round, Moyes assistant lives by them.

Neville and gibbo did the hard graft in the middle, very unglamorous but set the tone. Jelavic was taking two defenders with him everywhere. We'll see that more this season. Teams will be scared because of what he can do with one touch so can't afford to give him a yard of space, this gives felli that bit of extra space. Felli's control of balls to him is sublime. Kills it dead. Back four were solid, a couple of top tackles from hibbo, distin is soooo cool. Hope he was just tired at the end.
A few observations.

- We just looked ready, up for it, settled. Like everyone knew their job and there was no uncertainty. Benefits of a settled side with a manager who may just have that fire in his belly again.

- The back four were immense, I actually think Baines was the poorest out of the four but still had a good game. Jagielka was superb and his couple of slide tackles, the clearance off the line and overall positioning looked great.

- Wont be a popular thing to say but Neville had a good game, made numerous tackles and both he and Gibson worked tirelessly. Played few nice decisive passes going forward and didnt stop working. People will already be saying he had a crap game without even probably seeing it.

- Fellaini, what can you say...Pretty much covered every blade of grass. The ball was like a magnet to that magnificent chest and his overall play on the deck and in the air was fautless. The only header he lost was when Vidic almost mugged him and got his wallet in the process of going through him- no foul.

- Jelavic was quiet but still worked hard and put a shift in.

Did anyone else notice how skinny Vidic looked?! He seemed about 1/2stone under weight...

Great performance, if we can add a couple more to fill the squad with real quality I dont want to knee jerk but we could have a very decent season.
