Bit of a shame that we didn't turn up on the weekend as the Cup has really opened up for mid-table clubs if they get a favourable draw. On the other hand though I found it hard to care really (once again) about any of the Cups and as long as we get the points in the league to stay up for our summer rebuild I am content this season.
Our start was depressingly slow and mistake filled, and conceding that ridiculous second killed us - a real shame as the second half showed some fight and commitment, and the way the draw opened up is a bit of a killer.

Still think VAR coming back in Round 5 will close that draw again though mate, and sort it for the remaining scabs. Really don’t get that decision either.

It will probs be a city-united final again if they don’t get drew together and also avoid the remaining prem teams left later on today. The hot/cold balls in the bag will allow for that - ooooeeeeerrr missus!

It’s really sad to see what the FA have allowed to happen to the cup, removing replays and going straight to extra time and pens just to pander to the cryarse scabs moaning about too many’s games, when they’ve got massive squads costing millions of pounds.

A competition that’s a shadow of its former glorious self.

after the three league wins in a row it was important not to get too carried away as Everton have a habit of giving us a reality check. Although a pipe dream the thought of us somehow going on a run to the cup final and delaying the final game at Goodison was the last hope of giving our ground the send off it deserves. Feel like although we will get the remaining few league wins we need to stay up the ending to Goodison is going to be a bit of a damp squib.

I'm really surprised at how many votes Garner got for MOTM. He hit the first man with just about every set piece he took and gave away possession under no pressure several times. He's been very good under Moyes prior to this match but I thought he was poor on Saturday.

I thought he was the best of a bad bunch.

Charly caught the eye when he came on, but I still feel as tho Garner was at least trying to make things happen.

His set piece delivery was poor and I was cursing Charlie Adam!!!
