I think to get a result we need to play quite negative. These excel with space to run into, and their good run has had them facing teams who will at least try to play (Arsenal, City, Fulham). OK Spurs are negative but they're also complete dogbleep and rubbish. West Ham got a point and almost won.

I want to see that ball in the air as much as possible and dogs of war out there.

Never going to happen, but I'd love to see a really calm midfield without Gana running around like a headless chicken. Players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet. Myko shouldn't be in the line-up but not sure Aznou will even be in the matchday squad. I just don't see the point of playing Beto or Barry now. Put our best finisher in the middle and see what happens.

If that lineup is correct the only reason we're trying something different is because Jake is unavailable which is a classic Moyes move, otherwise Garner would be in the midfield with Gana

Gana has a extremely subpar since he has returned, leaves gaps all over the pitch and should not be on the ball for lengthy periods of time , which he's been doing since he returned, he wants to play like a box to box midfielder and he's not one

Just because Garner played RB in an under 21 tournament doesn't mean he can or wants to do it at senior level. We all go on about square pegs in round holes and now we have fans actively encouraging it. Stats show he has been one of the best midfielder's in the league this season and people want to waste that by playing him out of position, and it will be the same people moaning if he makes a mistake or because the midfield will be a combo of Tim and Gana leaving holes all over the shop.

Yes, but Garner is our best RB full stop now.

BTW, I've also seen Garner have some pretty anonymous perfromancs in MF.

Yes, he's in impressive form in MF right now, but if we have him at RB he's still dynamic enough to push up into MF and get stuff going then get back into position - and he'll still be our set piece go-to player.

And, tbh again, I actually support Moyes in putting Branthwaite LB if that's what he does.
