Evening Toffees - This is where I am coming from

I have recently had several spats with EFCNIK (Etc) on this forum

Some of my responses have been very sharp and direct ( I agree)

However to see where I am coming from

I Joined in April 2008 the forum for me was (and still is) refreshing where footy fans can have a great crack unlike a lot of other sites ( Many United ones included)

I have always had a soft spot for Everton and particularly the people of merseyside. (The reasons are very personal and go back many years.)

I have always had great banter with people on here. EFCNIK talking about a United Everton Love in is mistaken. I know a lot of people on here dislike United it is natural Manc / Scouse rivalry. However there is in many cases a bit of a coming together in terms of the fact that a lot of Evertonians will from time to time side with their 'Enemys Enemy'. Didnt Churchill once say 'If Hitler invaded Hell I would make a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons'

I have always had banter for example with Ghost and Bad Wool ( Where are they ??) They used to give me loads from time to time but it was hilarious banter and not anti United just for the sake of it

When I get confronted by EFCNIK etcs complete ABU stuff I am bound to respond in kind. Thats why I have been a bit irate of late. Its not me I havent changed a bit its the stuff thats posted

I accept I am on an Everton forum but I do make most of my posts on World Football

I will try and wind my neck in but will always defend myself and my club if I feel comments are unjustified or wrong

Anyway thats it if in the main people think that I am out of order fair enough I respect that and will leave the forum

No problems here. If you, or any other poster were here solely on a windup, then I'm sure the mods would have stepped in by now.

If someone has an issue with someone, then that's why we have an ignore button.

The ignore function doesn't actually serve its purpose though unfortunatly.

As for Nev, as far as i'm concerned, anyone disliking someone because of where they come from is a complete tit, so if anyone here gives you grief for being a "manc" they are a tit.

You're a decent honest poster so should be judged on what you say, not where you are from or what team you support.

We KNOW your allegiance but you ARE always respectful of us , so some of us choose to reciprocate .

As for Nik , he lives away from Merseyside so his view may be coloured as a result .. That aside , I cant recall you havin;' much trouble on here ...

You called someone a turd, then another person a d*ckhead, all for disliking Man Utd on an Everton forum.

Which is...

1. Silly

and

2. Against the forum rules

and

3. Will simply antagonise every other Evertonian on here.

Also, your ABU thing simply reminds me of the monkey from Aladdin, and in the same way doesn't really exist. People can genuinely dislike Manchester United for valid reasons you know.

I don't think you're a bad poster at all, but if you come on an Everton forum and expect universal happiness about the club you support then you are sorely mistaken. You should just laugh it off instead of responding so violently and spouting this ABU nonsense in my opinion.

Sorry, if you're scouse do you like Man United? That's not the way I've been brought up. And everyone always goes on here like I don't have a clue about the city and I don't know what it's like. I go there all the time. My family are from there. I was there literally 3 days ago for a job interview. I would hardly be a southern Everton fan if I didn't have a connection with the city (all those that are and don't- fair play to you, it is hard!) Yes Everton and Liverpool hate eachother, but only really badly in the last 10 years or so when they've started being proper bellends. United have always been the old enemy and Liverpool are now on a par with them. I dislike them both.

That is all I've EVER said and it winds him so badly he has to retaliate. He wants me so badly to like United or something. I've told him it's never gonna happen. He fumes. Then writes this crap and people seem to be taking his side.

Whatever boys. And thanks to those who have stuck up for me. I've got no problem with Nev posting at all, opinions from other clubs are welcome. I just took issue with the amount of threads loving Man United- some started by him, some by others. And the ammount of Evertonians posting in support of United to spite Liverpool. If Liverpool fans were reading it it really would back up their claims of 'bitter' and 'small time'. Thats how I read it, even as an Everton fan. I haven't done anything wrong on here.

I'm a southern toffee, just by the way. There are loads of us all over the shop. That's why Everton are ace.

As for the United thing. Don't hate 'em, don't love them, just get a bit bored of them winning all the time!

It's emotional here tonight. Such a heartfelt post. Almost feel guilty for my dislike of the UnIteDz. They're not bad. I especially like that nick nack paddy wack song they sing.
