No I DO understand. I understand that it's scousers over mancs ANYDAY. I dont have to talk funny to know that. Don't get me wrong, I kinda want Man United to get the 5 just so they'll finally shut up, but I'm not going to revel in it and I'm not gonna be bouncing around my living room like it seems some of you will. Its just so so wrong. And it fuels the fire of the 'small club' jibe. Clinging onto another's success- THE MANCS FFS- to get a 1up on Liverpool. If it's most other teams that have to win to [Poor language removed] Liverpool, yeah I'll want them to win. But the mancs- how anyone can be physically happy when Rooney and co. are up there lifting a trophy with the fans singing the usual assortment of awful nursery rhyme songs they think is the bestest astounds me. I think of it as 'every cloud has a silver lining'. Man United getting a title is awful, but the fact it annoys liverpool is the silver lining.

'You're from Luton'. So actually if you think about it, I have to REALLY know my **** to feel anything about anything to do with Everton. In my lifetime it's hardly Everton's success that have got me buzzing for them. So I'm not having my location or where I was born used against me when it comes to Everton and Everton's history and rivalry. My family are scouse, the city's like an adopted second home

Added to this I went to uni in manchester last year- and furthur drove home the fact that united are bells.

And also it's the team. ROONEY. But even before that it's always been scousers against mancs. You really are in the minority if you think it's anything else.

who said anything about supporting the mancs to spite Liverpool??? Nev is respected on here, and I always treat people as I find them. So I will be hoping they win tonight, and not because they will surpass the RS record, simply because they're a British team and Barcelona are are a bunch of tramps

I feel the same, but I'm not gonna be jumping up and down like it seems a lot will in here. It will just be a casual 'cool'.
It's nothing against Nev as a poster/person. Although his Come on United threads piss me off intently.

There was a time when everyone would get behind EVERY English club in a Euro Final.

So many Barca shirts here it's unreal, in the shop on site they have all the snide ones and the woman says all they ever sell is Barca (even to Italian kids) and the only name they ever want is MESSI, she can't shift the Inter and AC ones and says the delivery guy comes every day with more Messi.

Erm, its Man United? Who doesn't hate man united? Rooney. Fergie time. Humourless mancs. Nursery rhyme songs. Hillsborough chants. The day when the fans of a club from liverpool side with united is a sad day for football. The day anyone sides with man united is a sad day for football. I will be half assed wanting them to win tonight. For 90 minutes I want them to score. Then its back to normality. This is all I ask.

Well I do still want United to win, I just dont agree with the love in this forum has with them. Its not an active willing them to score feeling, just that I'd be satisfied with a victory because they are an english team, nothing to do with your lot. The thing Im whinging about is that people seem to have united as their second team to try and form some sort of allegience against Liverpool and I think it's really small time and reflects badly on our clubs supporters. No wonder they call us bitter bluenoses. Siding with United. Hideous.
