Barcelona's pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe in Tokyo on Sunday is back on after previously cancelling the fixture due to "serious contractual breaches" by the promoter.

Barcelona have cancelled Sunday's pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe in Tokyo because of "serious contractual breaches" by the promoter.

The trip to Japan formed the initial part of their Asian tour, and they said the second leg in South Korea is also at risk of suspension.

Just saw Shakhtar Donetsk beat Besiktas 4-2 away in a Champions League qualifier. Great result for them, but also for the country as a whole.

Barcelona's pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe on Sunday is back on, with the Catalan giants saying issues with the match's promoter have been sorted out.
Barca called off the game, which will take place in Tokyo, on Thursday, citing "serious contractual breaches" by the promoter as the reason for the cancellation.
The Spanish champions said they have now "resolved the issues" and flew out to Japan on Friday morning

It will be a shame in a way as the Mestella is centrally located and such a dramatic ground. The new site is miles out of town.

We did our family holiday in Valencia this yr (amazing city and area) and went by the Nou Mestalla in and out of town. It’s not that far out and I’d say only a 10 or so min extra walk from town vs old. Also has two metro lines anmd a tram line albeit be v busy on match days!
