Crazy that some have ruled us out just because of a last second defeat when we are 1 point from 6th. We were and are in it no matter what the result was today. A win would never have guaranteed europe, as in a defeat does not mean we are out of it, with league been so tight

In a weird way, losing that game might give us a better chance of qualifying for the CL than drawing it. We’d be 5 points behind Liverpool in 5th place and Liverpool would be 5 behind Villa. Now with Villa still having to play Liverpool and City in their final 2 games, there’s a chance Villa could finish below Liverpool in 5th.
I don’t think we’ll come 6th with our fixtures and injuries but it would be really funny if we ended up qualifying for the CL because we lost the game today.
