Champions League exposure is the reason Vertonghen said he'd never heard Everton and then signed for Tottenham. It would only be good for the club, and the team would end up having to face one Champions League third place group stage finisher in the Europa League anyway.
Champions League its a no brainer. What I meant was we get knocked out in the group stages because it will give the fans a few away trips but we haven't got the squad to go all the way in the competion and we would do a Newcastle so getting knocked out early would allow us to focus on the league to try and get champions league . However we need to spend big if we get Europe as we would certainly get relagated with the sqaud we have now . Perfect scenario would be that we got 4th keep Felli although I'm not bothered if he goes and use the champions league money for transfers . If we finish 5th we sell feli and get 5 players with the money
