Why would we want to enter that tournament?
If the Champions League is nothing better than the League cup according to some whoppers on here, why should we want it?

We should absolutely lap this up if we can.

Yes if the opportunity comes we certainly should. A club like Everton should have european football. It city get kicked out (which now really looks like UEFA are serious about) we would gain a Europa place.

Are we really hoping someone else gets kicked out on a financial technicality so that we can hastily bring back players, completely upend our pre-season and likely transfer window too. expend time and money travelling to play the third best team in Lichtenstien so we can say we had European football?
its rhetorical btw.

Absolutely amazing. You can’t even enjoy a Champions League victory properly because it hasn’t pissed us off enough. The Êv are buried deep in your psyche.

yes

That’ll be that then.

I think the idea is that if City get kicked out of the European Cup next year, then Arsenal would take their place and we would get in the UEFA.

However, as UEFA have already confirmed weeks ago that City's exclusion would merely mean one fewer English team in the Big Cup it seems unlikely.

Much as I love Europe and European competitions I'd rather we didn't get this opportunity. I suspect (hope!) Brands and Silva have mid-long term plans for a league campaign, building the squad, and aiming for Europe the following season. I think getting a steady rebuild is more important than a potentially disruptive last minute European campaign.

Just my view, like.
