Never got the anti English stuff you get from some on here. The last World Cup we exceeded expectations after taking advantage of a favourable draw.

Two decent tournaments on the run is far more success than I'm used to with Everton and the draw looks good again.

Havertz misses a 'Gazza' type chance on the stretch late on, and Muller fires wide when through on goal.

Of course, loads of games of football are like that, but tactically we relied on those chances going amiss instead of imposing on the game from the off.

I said at 0-0 if England win, they and Southgate have got away with it - they did.

Ok I missed the Gazza chance but overall I think we were quite solid and they didn’t give us too much trouble. Marginally better in the first half. Bit more even in second but we had good chances too before the goals

For me they're Newcastle. The support is passionate and I can respect that, but they act like bigshots without having any reason to. In fact their record is really a bit of a shambles.

Oh England definitely deserved the win, but I think it's because they were the slightly better of two mediocre sides. I think under a better manager that could have been considerably more comfortable.
