Horrible. And I hate to say it, but I feared the inevitable once I realized the color of the skin of all three of the English players who missed penalties.

Sadly it was my thought as soon as I’d got over the initial disappointment of the loss. Three young black men missing, it was horribly inevitable what the reaction would be. As if they aren’t going through enough tonight without having all of that put on top of them too. Feel absolutely awful for what they must be going through.

We as fans feel like absolute sh.t. Doesn’t come close to what they will be dealing with. Makes me feel even sicker than I already did.

I wouldn't put a ton of stock in someone who rates Phillips and Rice as England's best players in a game where Verratti and Jorginho ran the show.

Look at Murray and Djokovic. In terms of skill and level they are almost identical. But Djokovic has always been the stronger mentally. Training strength of mind can be done, though it is not easy, and takes a lot of effort. Murray himself managed it to a degree.
