Earlier England had Foden playing or Grealish. I don't see Mount as the player to pick through a very good defence. Keeping it tight has gotten them here granted but if they are going to sit back and play an Italian style trying to win 1-0 I think Italy will do that better.

Imho the best way to have gone about this game is to explode out of the blocks and make the old Italian CB move around with a more offensive lineup.
